              Grafton City Hospital is pleased to offer a fully staffed Emergency Department 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Our highly trained health care staff, and our ACLS certified nursing staff, under the supervision of Ms. Violet Shaw, BS, RN, CEN and directed by  Dr. Steven Smith, a board certified Emergency Medical Physician, stands ready to serve as your hometown crisis center.

In addition to the many life saving services offered at Grafton City Hospital's Emergency Department, we also serve as part of a multi functional Emergency Medical Transportation network.   

Critical Patients, who after being stabilized in our facility, are just moments from the full capabilities of West Virginia University, the Pittsburgh Burn Center, or other advanced crisis centers.  

Patients enter our facility, where they receive life saving immediate care, and if necessary, they can then be transported via helicopter, or ground transport for further specialized treatment to specialized health care facilities.  This network of care assures our friends and neighbors the highest level of quality emergent services, and a continuum of care necessary in today's specialized and time critical environment.
